Philadelphia’s Workforce Woefully Lacking Basic Skills

We already knew that some 500,000 adults in Philadelphia lack the basic reading, math and computer skills to hold down most rudimentary jobs. According to a new study, the problem is getting worse. Go us!

Technically Philly reports that by 2030, the number of adults who lack the skills to function in a “technology-inclusive” workplace will jump to 600,000.

At least our schools are doing a bang-up job of educating the workers of tomorrow We’re fucked.

Can somebody bring back the old Budd manufacturing plant please?
