More details have emerged of the massive cheating scandal that erupted in the Philadelphia School District over the past several years. The State education secretary said that evidence of cheating on standarized tests in 56 schools is “compelling” in this Inquirer story.
The list includes 20 percent of all district schools in total, 11 of 25 “Vanguard,” or high-achieving schools, and three charter schools.
Never forget, the one thing Arlene Ackerman was constantly praised for was rising test scores. The mayor liked to brag about the better scores too. Sigh.
The Inky made a graphic of all the alleged cheating schools here.
